FINAL PAYMENTS
3d A BUSHEL FOR WHEAT COMPLETION BY CHRISTMAS (By Teleg-raph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, announced that a final payment of 3d a bushel on the 1938-39 wheat crop was being made, the total payment being £55,571. Cheques had been forwarded to brokers, who were making payment to growers as expeditiously as possible, and it was expected that the pay-out would be completed before Christmas.
