Bronwen defeated Valimeen over four Turlongs, the last three being run In 3ft 2-5 s. They had gone past the disc at the hair-mlle when they jumped away and therefore could not be timed for ihe Tull distance. Bronwen worked extremely well. Kentucky was hair-a-length in Tront of Maxam at the itnish or half-a-mlle in 50s. Bachelor King gave a good exhibition over six Tcnces and Mia Acrea gave a satisfactory display over four. The be*i schooling efTort was credited to Dauber, who went over four hurdles, showing a natural aptitude for the game.

80LIO TRIAL WITH MOORSOTIB OMAPO’S GOOD FIVE EFFORTS AT ELLERSLfE ($y Telegraph. to Time*' AUCKLAND, Ti^sday The best efTorts at Ellerslie this morning on the course proper, on which the poles were out 65ft., were those of Cheddlngton and Worton over hair-a-inllc, Omapo over five and Paper Slipper over six, while Dictate and Moorsotts recorded an excellent trial over seven furlongs. Tha weather was fine and the going perrect. The first out were Silver Quex and Trevace, who ran six furlongs in 1.23 3-5. They ran the first two in 20 t-5s and SfiVer Ouex was going the better or the pair at the end. The best effort over fit"* Turlongs wat that of Omapo. who was holding stylist at the conclusion of the effort In 1.5 2-5, the first half-mile In 52s and the effort indicates that omapo is likely to run prominently at Ellerslie. There was little between Cheddlnrton and Worton over half-a-mlle. which occupied 50 2-ss. The first furlong occupied 12 2-5 s and Worton worked better than on former occasions. British Talent. Aero King and Krlly completed halt-a-mile in 51 4 -ss. Aero King had an advantage at the post. The two year-old Dorla was going comfortably alongside Spartan at the conclusion or five furlongs which look l 6 4-5. the ia*t three in 4 0 3-ss. Dorla has a -month style of galloping and she could have put up much better time. Pern -haded Royal Appellant, with Beverley beaten off. over a mile and a quarter In 2.10 3-5. the final round in 2.7. Great Swoop Pleases Great swoop was going well within himself at the conclusion of seven furlongs in 1.34 2-5. Moor-otis was doing'the better at the finish but Dictate also shaped nicely.
