RETURN FROM MISSION
MEMBER OF MR FRASER S PARTY A member of the official party which flew to England with the acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, in October, LieutenantColonel W. G. Stevens, of Wellington, has returned to New Zealand. He is secretary of the Organisation for National Security. Lieutenant-Colonel Stevens, who - flew from England to Australia on his homeward journey, left in ad--1 vance of other members of the Min- ' isterial party. He accompanied Mr ' Fraser on his recent official tour of France, and visited the squadron of the Royal Air Force, which includes a New Zealand pilot who was the victor in a nigh-altitude battle that J resulted in the destruction of a large . German machine. In view of the nature of his mis--1 | sion, Lieutenant-Colonel Stevens was • i unable to discuss it on his return to : 1 New Zealand. He will await the ar- • i rival of the other members of the 1 | party in Wellington.
