STAFF FAREWELL
MEMBER OF SPECIAL FORCE Mr A. Taylor, formerly assistantmanager of Messrs H. and J. Court and now a member of the first echelon of the Special Military Force, was farewelled by the directors and staff of the firm at a social evening held last night. Reference to Mr Taylor’s happy association with the firm was made by Mr B. E. Woodhams, the manager, who presented Mr Taylor with a fountain pen on behalf of those present. Mr R. Babcock spoke on behalf of the staff and Mr D. Hunter on behalf of firms with which Mr Taylor had been associated as an executive officer of his firm. Mr Taylor suitably replied. Items were given by Mr J. Taylor (piano solos), Miss E. Medwin (songs), Miss S. Slade (tap dancing), Miss M. Bradley (songs), “Melody Maestros” quartette (songs), R. Heyworth (songs), Miss Y. McLachlan (’cello solos) and Miss S. Burton (elocution).
