WELLINGTON MARRIAGES 1938 FIGURES EXCEEDED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Monday With the week which is usually busiest just beginning, there have been issued in Wellington to date this month 191 marriage licenses, and last December's total of 262 will probably be easily surpassed. Soldiers on Christmas leave comprise about 25 to 30 per cent of the applicants for licenses this month. Only 30 of the 191 weddings so far have been performed by the registrar. Last year's total of 2190 marriage licenses has been exceeded, this year’s total to date beingJ244s.
