ANGLO-FRENCH UNITY
I LABOUR CONFERENCE I COMPLETE ACCORD MANY SUBJECTS DISCUSSED (Official Wireless) j RUGBY, Dec 15 After a session in Paris lasting two days, the Anglo-French Trade ! Union Council in a statement issued jon Friday declared that complete unity in views and action existed between the British and French union organisations. i During the session the council conj sidered working conditions in the j respective countries, discussed the ! question of control of prices, and ex- | pressed the opinion that trade union j rights must be protected and mainj tained, while collaboration between the Governments and Trade Unions must be developed in a way consistent with the independence of the Trade Union movement. The statement concludes with an indictment of “all open or insidious mendacious intrigues carried out by propaganda against the unity of French and British workers.”
