CARESS CHOSEN FOR AUCKLAND (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Monday The nrth and nnal of the series of trial races to decide the boat and crew to represent Auckland in the Annual contest l'or the Sanders Cup Tor 14rt Jellicoe class boats was held at Point Chevalier yesterday. The race was sailed in a moderate southerly breeze and resulted in a win Tor Caress iW. Rogers), wnlch defeated Clyde •M. Willets) by Jin 7s. Marjorie (\Y. Parke?, was third. At the conclusion the selection committee announced that, subject to continuation by the Auckland Yacht and Motor-Boat Association. Caress had been chosen to represent Auckland, with the following crew: W. Rogers (owner and skipper), R. Rogers (rnainsheet hand), l\ Rogers (forward hand), and It. Wilson (heavy-weight). Of the five trials decided four were won by Caress and one by Marjorie. The total points gained were as follows: Caress, 124: Marjorie, r,7 ; Clyde, 59; Aileen, IS; EnCORNWELL CUP SKIPPER The nrth and final of the series or trial races to select the crew to represent Auckland in the annual contest Tor the Cornwell cup D>r class Z touais was held on Saturday arternoon. The race was sailed in a fresh easterly breeze and resulted in a win for R. Bailey, with R. Matheson second, L. Brookbanks third and R. Robb fourth. Of the five trials decided R.
