HOLIDAY CRICKET
GAMES IN HAMILTON PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT Arrangements have been completed by the Waikato Cricket Association for the Christmas Country Week tournament to take place at Hamilton from December 25 to 29 (inclusive). Four teams will be participating—the Auckland Cricket Association B team, the Auckland City and Suburban, Poverty Bay and Waikato elevens, and keen contests are anticipated. One-day matches will be played on December 25, 26 and 27, with the final a two-day fixture, when the two teams eliminated will play a friendly match. The draw is:— December 25: Auckland B v. City and Suburban; Waikato v. Poverty Bay. December 26: Auckland B v. Waikato; City and Suburban v. Poverty Bay. December 27; Auckland B v. Poverty Bay; Waikato v. City and Suburban. The final will take place on the Thursday and Friday. Four points will be awarded for an outright win, three for a first innings victory, two for a draw or tie and one point for a loss on the first innings. Hours of play will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with intermissions tor lunch and afternoon tea.
