OWNER EXPELLED DISPUTE OVER CUP N.S.W. LEAGUE ACTION (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Dec. 16, 1.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 16 The executive committee of the New South Wales 18-Footers Sailing League has cancelled the registration of the Taree and expelled the owner, Mr W. Scahill and the skipper, B. Swinboume. The Taree is the present State champion and cannot now start in today's championship final, although it shares the lead on points. Mr Scahill is expelled lor not obeying the request to return the championship cup, and Swinboume lor unbecoming conduct at last Tuesday’s meeting.

Swinboume was ordered out of the meeting on Tuesday night because he refused to withdraw his criticism cf the secretary, Mr J. Giltinan. The league executive decided that the world championship yacht cup must be returned by Friday at noon. The league desired to send the cup to Auckland for presentation to G. Chamberlain, whose boat Manu was declared the champion last season by the Australian Board of Control.
