OBITUARY
MRS MARGARET WALLACE (Special to Times) KAITAIA, Wednesday The death has occurred at Victoria Valley, Mangonui, of Mrs Margaret Wallace, at the age of 85. Born in i Scotland, she went to Australia with i her parents, Mr and Mrs Alexander, ; when three years of age, and after ! six years came to New Zealand. In ■ Hamilton she was married to Mr Thomas Wallace, of the Armed Constabulary, and subsequently lived in : Hamilton, Kihikihi and Auckland, before coming north 56 years ago. Of a family of 10 eight are still living. There are 31 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren. Mr Wallace died nine years ago.
