Robertson, Waikuikui; reserve, Peter Campbell, Wyndham.

Official Opening The official opening was performed this afternoon by the GovernorGeneral, Lord Galway, who was accompanied by Lady Galway. This was followed by the grand parade of prize-winning stock, and the second heat of the Dominion championship jump, in which many of the best hunters in New Zealand took part. Speakers at the official opening included the president of the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Mr R. Kennedy, and the Mayor of Invercargill, Mr J. R Hanan, both of whom paid tribute to the excellence of the stock exhibits and the part played by the pioneers in developing the province of Southland and New Zealand in general.
