FERRY STEAMER DELAYED
SLOW SPEED ON SOUTH TRIP (By Telegraph.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday Boisterous southerly weather and heavy seas delayed the Rangitira on her voyage south last night. Being in light trim, as weather prevented cargo being worked at Wellington yesterday, the vessel could not make more than ten knots across Cook Strait, and it was not until she was south of Cape Campbell that normal speed was resumed. The vessel carried 300 passengers.
