GIFT EVENING
TWO RESIDENTS HONOURED A most pleasant evening was held in the Hangatiki Hall recently, in honour of Mr D. Phillips and Miss Sanders, whose marriage takes place shortly. The large number present testified to the popularity of the guests-of-honour each of whom have always resided in the district. Mrs A. E. Cooke, piano, and Mr F. W. Johnston supplied the dance music and extras were played by Mrs W. Lee and Miss Z. Symes. On behalf of those present, Mr F. Johnson asked Mr Phillips and Miss Sanders to accept the large array ol' parcels. Mr Phillips suitably replied. Among those present were:—Mesdames W. J. Sanders, F. O. R. Phillips, B. Board, A.
