NGARUAWAHIA FUNCTION

FANCY DRESS BALL MOST SUCCESSFUL GATHERING One of the most successful children’s fancy dress balls held in Ngaruawahia took place in the Town Hall recently. The proceeds were to assist school funds. The hall was attractively arranged with streamers and balloons, and the variety of the children’s costumes added a gay note of colour. A feature of the evening was the many dances executed by the children, which reflected much credit on the teachers. An item which brought great applause was a tableau, children being dressed to represent the nations. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs J. T. Holt, Mrs F. Harplett and Mr D.
