PLUNKET SOCIETY
TE AWAMUTU BRANCH Mrs H. A. Swarbrick presided at the usual monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu branch of the Plunket Society, nine others being in attendance. Following upon the resignation of Mrs N. J. Neilsen from the secretaryship, Mrs N. G. Smith was appointed. Reference was made to the excellent work done by Mrs Neilsen. The nurse’s report for the month was as follows: New cases, 40; visits to rooms, 225 adults, 202 babies, and 40 children; total, 551. Contributions to the Truby King Appeal amounted to £24 2s 3d, including £6 Os 3d from Ohaupo.
