Mis Pat Farrer, Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs F. W. Wilson, Auckland. Mrs W. M. Horton, Palmerston North, is visiting Hamilton. Miss Joan Cherry, Whangarei, who has been spending a few days as the guest of her mother, Mrs J. Cherry, Hamilton, has returned home. Miss E. M. Mackay has commenced her duties as Plunket nurse at the Hamilton branch of the society. Mrs Adele Younghusband, formerly of Hamilton, who gave a successful exhibition of her paintings in Sydney last year, is holding her second show this week, this time in Melbourne, where she has been residing for the past year. During that time she has been studying with George Bell, one of Melbourne’s outstanding artists of the modern school. Mrs G. Waghorn, Drury, was a visitor to Hamilton for the Rose Show resterday. Miss Ruth Tully, Hastings, is visiting Hamilton. A complimentary social and dance in honour of the queens from the St. George’s Queen Carnival was held in St. George’s Hall last night. CAMBRIDGE Mrs F. H. Vincent, Te Aroha, is spending a week visiting her mother, Mrs E. G. Martin. Mrs H. C. Tod has returned to Cambridge after a brief visit to Auckland. Mrs L. Cornaga, of Wellington, is visiting her mother, Mrs B. P. H. Brewer. Mrs M. Clayton, of Ngaruawahia, is the guest of Mrs A. K. Clayton.
