As a war measure the Waikato Hospital may find it necessary to move civilian patients to other hospitals to make accommodation for soldiers. Subject to the approval of other hospital boards in New Zealand, the charge for such patients will be 11s a day, less 68 from the social security fund, instead of 12s a day, the usual charge.
