VISIT OF INDIAN PRINCESS
There called in at Auckland a few days ago a dainty little Indian Princess, Yuvarani Sahib, of Baria, who is returning to her native land after a holiday in America. This lady is the sister of the Maharaja Manikya Bahadur of Tripura, and widow of the ruler of another State. Her small son is the heir apparent. She looks, herself, little more than a child—slight, delicate, wrapped in her Eastern garb with a Western overcoat over the top of it to keep out the cold winds. She is longing to be home again, she says, where there is plenty to be done —games to be played, horses to ride, and life to be lived, much as other people live it the world over.
