Morling, S.M., when George Davis, labourer, aged 28, 1 pleaded guilty in the Police Court I yesterday to a charge of unlawfully j converting to his own use at Waiuku on October 21 a motor-car valued at £6O, the property of William McNamara. Accused said he had had some drink and took the car from the road. He drove about 10 miles and then crashed, damage to the extent of £l7 being done. Accused was sentenced to a fortnight’s imprisonment.
