WAIPA GUN CLUB (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Monday. Excellent conditions prevailed for a shoot held by the Waipa Gun Club at Tc Awamutu on Saturday. Eight, matches were on the programme and the entries were good. The eye-opener, six birds, was won by John Pollard with a possible. E. Mulgrew, McMillan and T. Hall tied Tor second with live birds each and divided. A six-bird sweepstake was won by A. Marsh, with the possible. Pollard and R. Trimble tying for second with 5 birds each. Trimble won the next event, a six-bird sweepstake, with a possible. T. Hal] was second with 5. The Drysdale Cup shoot, six birds, was won by Hall with the possible. M. Ot- , way, Trimble and Pollard, with 5 birds j each, tied for second. 1 E. Burrows and A. Marsh scored the J possible in a gimcrark contest, the former winning on the shoot-off. M. Otway won a semi-skeet match, six birds, with the possible. After scoring n pos.-ihle each in a sixbird sweepstake, M. Otway, Trimble and Pollard divided.
