ORPHANS' CLUB ANNUAL LADIES’ NIGHT The Matamata Orphans’ Club season was brought to a close on Saturday night when the annual ladies’ night was attended by over 100 members and ladies. The Rev. Chandler (Cambridge), presided, and the programme was one of the best ever presented at a club gathering. At the conclusion of the evening, the president, Mr Wilbert Marks, thanked those who had carried out the official duties during the season. The following contributed to the programme:—Orchetra, under Mr Perry Ingham; Miss Irene Rich (contralto), Mr W. Clague (cornet solos), Mr J. E. Cronin (tenor), Mr G. New- . some (elocution), Mr E. Richardson, Cambridge (violin solos), Mrs Birch, Waitoa (soprano), Mr J. J. Coulter (magic), Mr R. Hislop (bass-bari-tone), Mrs W. D. Hay (pianoforte). Mrs Hay and Mr R. Boyce (Camj bridge), played accompaniments. MATAMATA CLUB WEEK-END SHOOT (Special to Times.) MATAMATA. Monday. The Matamata Gun Club held a successful shoot during- the week-end.
