EVE OF MELBOURNE CUP ALMOST RECORD LOW LEVEL (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) MELBOURNE, Nov. 6 November snowfalls in many parts of Victoria made an unusual weather feature for the eve of Cup Day. The forecast for to-morrow is: “ Cold and wet.” In the city the temperature to-day went down to almost a record low level for November, the minimum of 40.9 degrees being 10.4 degrees below the normal, and the maximum, 50 degrees, the lowest maximum ever recorded in Melbourne in November. Snow fell over a wide area, some ranges near Melbourne receiving six inches.
