ALLEGED SMUGGLING
UNIFORMS FOR SPIES ARREST OF DUTCHMAN CLUES FOLLOWED UP (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Nov. 6, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 5 The Amsterdam correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says the police are investigating the alleged smuggling of uniforms of Dutch soldiers, postmen and railwaymen into Germany, and have arrested a Dutchman, Gerrit Albrink, for attempting to cross the frontier at a lonely spot by car, with parcels of uniforms. Albrink, whose father is a member of the Dutch Nazi Party, worked in a garage in Germany. It is stated that large quantities of uniforms, which can be used by spies, have already been smuggled to Germany. Clues are being followed up in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, where further arrests are expected.
