DUNCAN—BUNT AN EMBOSSED CHIFFON GOWN A charming and quiet wedding took place recently at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Hamilton, of Marguerite Helen, only child of Mr and Mrs Bunyan, of Horotiu, and Lindsay Stewart, youngest son of Mrs J. Duncan, Fow Street, Hamilton, and the late Mr Joseph Duncan. The Very Rev. T. P. Weatherhog performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory embossed chiffon cut on classical lines. The swathed bodice was caught with a spray of orai/,e blossom, and the skirt flared gracefully from the hips. The veil of ivory hand-worked tulle was gathered at the top of the head, where it was held in place with a bunch of orange blossom. She carried a beautiful bouquet of lily-of-the-valley and maidenhair fern. The Attendants In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss May Johnson, who was wearing a frock of sprigged green taffeta. From a high waistline the frock was gathered into the shirred neckline and caught with velvet bows pf matching colour. The puffed sleeves were similarly fashioned, and the graceful skirt was fully flared. She carried a bouquet of gold and yellow flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr P. Dickey, as best man. * At the» conclusion of the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, where the rooms were gaily decorated in spring flowers. Mrs Bunyan received the guests wearing a tailored suit of black and white, with accessories of black and white, and a shoulder spray of anemones. Mrs Duncan, mother of the bridegroom, wore a floral and navy ensemble, and navv accessories. The bride travelled in a smart airi force-blue tailored costume with navy accessories. Mr and Mrs Duncan will make their home in Epsom, Auckland.
