APPEAL TO FALANGISTS HOARDING AND PROFITEERING PURIFICATION OF RANKS United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) MADRID, Nov. 1 The President of the Falange Political Council, Senor Suner, in a broadcast speech said that “hidden enemies” were sabotaging the Government’s efforts by means of hoarding and profiteering. Senor Suner appealed to the Falange Party to assist the Government to combat these elements, declaring that the party itself should welcome the purification of its own ranks. The Government intended to assume control of the country’s food with the object of assisting the poorer classes. The civil war had resulted in serious shortages in national production, especially of wheat, sugar and olive oil. Imports so far had not bridged the large gaps.
