MAYORAL ELECTION (By TelegTaph.—Press Association) WESTPORT, Wednesday With 47 declaration votes to be taken into account, Mr J. M. Robertson leads Mr J. Kilkenny in the Westport mayoral election, with a majority of 77 votes. The figures given today are as follows: Mr Robertson, 1083; Mr Kilkenny, 1006; informal 8. In 1935, when the same candidates contested the mayoral seat, the figures were: Mr Kilkenny, 1080; Mr Robertson, 653; informal, 12. The majority for Mr Kilkenny was 427. The poll yesterday was the heaviest for some years.
