Woollen Mills Tear
The directors of the Mosgiel Woollen Factory Company, Limited, in the annual report for the year ended October 6 state that the greater volume of sales as compared with last year has resulted in a net profit of ri2,293. After payment of an interim dividend of 4 per cent, absorbing £3815, providing 3000 for depreciation and transfering £2OOO to reserve, there remains a balance of £21,663, which the directors recommend should be dealt with as follows: Payment of final dividend of 3 per cent from trading, requiring £2861, and 3 per cent from revenue from investments, making a total of 10 per cent for the year, requiring £2861, leaving £15,940 to be carried forward.
A message from Lima, Peru, says there are fears for the safety of the two Peruvian brothers. Commander Humberto Gallino and Captain Victor Gallino, who left New York at 1.43 p.m. yesterday on a non-stop flight to Lima.
