SHIPS IN WARTIME
EX AMIN ATION RULES REPORT BEING PREPARED (By Te?p«~*nli Press Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday The Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, is awaiting the conclusion of the inquest before taking further steps regarding the fatality at Lyttelton when the fishing boat Dolphin was fired on from the fort and the master lost his life. Mr Jones stated to-day that he has asked for a report regarding the incident in the Auckland Harbour where a fishing boat was concerned, its master complaining that the boat was put into a risky position through the examination requirements. “I am having a report prepared on the examination question generally,” added the Minister, “particularly in regard to launches and similar vessels coming into the harbour from coastal points.”
