WANGANUI LADIES’ TITLE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WANGANUI, Friday The Wanganui ladies’ provincial golf championship title was regained by Mrs R. Cook today, when she defeated Miss P. Bell in the final played in fine weather on the Belmont links. In the semi-finals Miss J. Duncan, 1936 champion, who headed the qualifying rounds, was beaten two and one by Miss Bell, and Mrs Fullerton Smith (formerly Miss Bessie Gaisford) was defeated at the 19th by Mrs Cook, who had previously won the title in 1935 and 1938.
