POSTER COMPETITION

CENTENNIAL ART EXHIBITION I (By TelesTfiph.—Pros* Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The result of the poster competition inaugurated by the management committee of the National Art Gallery to advertise the International and New Zealand Exhibition of Art during the Centennial period is announced. There were 48 entries. 'The winner, E. O. Chapman of Wellington, receives 15 guineas. H. Maude, Petone, was second and receives five guineas. The first and possibly the second posters will be utilised to advertise the art exhibitions.
