WAITOA FUNCTION
SUCCESSFUL BRING AND BUY The Waitoa Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild held a most, successful bring and buy social afternoon in the local hall recently. The proceeds were in aid of church funds, which will benefit by a considerable amount from the function. The Rev. J. Hislop, Te Aroha, opened the proceedings. The women in charge of the stalls were:—Mesdames A. Johnston, W. Craig, R. Malcolm, J. Lynch, A. H. Holland, H. Blomfield, and R. Luxton. Items were contributed during the afternoon by Mrs H. O. Cooper, Mrs W. Burch, Mrs A. J. Luxton, Miss Joan Luxton and Mr Hislop. Competitions were won by Mesdames A. W. Johnson and W. A. Fleming. Afternoon tea was provided and served by members of the guild.
