morrinsville bull sale
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report on their annual grade bull sale at Morrinsville on Tuesday, when approximately 400 bulls of all breeds were penned. Competition throughout the sale was steady, practically the total entry changing hands under the hammer at prices satisfactory to vendors. Bidding for good conditioned bulls was exceptionally keen, while poorer sorts were slightly easier of sale. Included in the offering were 14 good conditioned yearling Jersey bulls on account of Mr J. M. Stewart, Tahuna which sold to £ls, and averaged £lO ss. We quote.—Best conditioned 2-year old Jersey bulls, £ls to £18; others, £ll 10s to £l3 10s; good conditioned 3-year Jersey bulls, £ll to £l2 10s; others, £8 10s to £10; best conditioned yearling Jersey bulls, £l2 10s to £ls; others, £8 10s to £10; best Ayrshire yearling bulls, £9 to £lO 15s; good grade Shorthorn bulls, 2-year old, 210 10s to £l2 10s; good grade yearling Shorthorn bulls, £7 10s to £9; pedigree Jersey bulls, 2 and 3-year olds, 16 gns. to 20 gns.; yearling, pedigree Jersey bulls, £lO 10s to £l3 | 13s; aged bulls, £7 to £9.
