PARIS, Sept. 26
It is officially announced that heavy artillery fire splintered portions of the German fortifications in the Rhineland. /
Evacuation of civilians east of Saarbrucken has been speeded up and a new Nazi counter-attack has been repulsed.
It is unofficially stated that two German attacks in the and Pirmasens sectors were hurled back with the “decimation of the retreating Germans.”
PARIS, Sept. 26
The Germans brought down two French planes in air combats. The German losses are believed to be heavier.
