MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT

COLLISION WITH LORRY About 5 o’clock last evening a collision occurred near the intersection of Grey and Clyde Streets between a motor-cycle ridden by Mr Kenneth Brandigan, aged 22, a Public Works employee, of 68 Queen’s Avenue, Frankton, and a petrol lorry driven by Mr William Edward Mathieson, of Hamilton. Mr Brandigan was thrown clear, but the front wheel of the lorry went completely over the motor-cycle, which was extensively damaged. Mr Brandigan was taken to the Waikato Hospital in a St. John Ambulance, and it is believed that his leg is fractured. His condition is satisfactory. At the time of the accident Mr Brandigan was proceeding towards Cambridge and the petrol waggon was coming out of Clyde Street
