REUNION DANCE
BRILLIANT FUNCTION HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS VERY COLOURFUL SCENE A fitting finale to the celebrations held throughout the day, the annual reunion dance of the Hamilton High School Old Boys’ Association, which was held at the school on Saturday night, was an unqualified success, adding to the long record held by the association of enjoyable reunion functions. There was an atmosphere of goodfellowship and happiness in the renewal of old friendships, which I undoubtedly contributed towards the festive spirit among the members, who attended in large numbers, with their friends, from far and near. , The school colours, red and black, provided the motif for the effective decorative scheme, which had been achieved in the hall, where red and gold badges with the lettering, “H.H.5.0.8.A.” in black, stood out in relief against the dark blue curtains at the high windows and at the foot of the dais. The stage was banked with feathery bamboo and large bowls of red rhododendrons and greenery. One corner of the hall had been arranged as a lounge with comfortable chairs and tables on which were grouped vases of spring flowers. Above the dancers a twisted canopy of red and black and a cluster of coloured balloons swayed. A delicious supper was served in the class rooms, where the tables were charmingly decorated witii vivid Iceland poppies and streamers of red and black entwined from end to end. Much credit is due to the committee, whose untiring efforts and efficient organisation resulted in the success of the function. The Hosts and Hostesses On arrival the guests were received by the headmaster of the school, Mr H. D. Tait, and Mrs Tait, the latter wearing a frock of clover cloque, and Mr J. R.
