TE KUITI SALE Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly Te Kuiti sale on the 22nd. instant, when a small yarding of sheep and cattle was offered. The entry of sheep comprising mainly hoggets, was keenly competed for and sold to late rates, whilst the cattle showed a slight decline on prices ruling at previous sales. Quotations: Light fat ewes, 15s 3d; medium ewe hoggets, 21s; medium b.f. hoggets, 13s 9d; mixed black and white face hoggets, good condition, 15s; medium two-year-old P.A. steers, good condition, £5 ss; medium two-year Jersey heifers, £2 19s to £3 9s; good yearling P.A. and Hereford steers, £3 2s 6d; medium, £2 10s; good yearling P.A. heifers, £2 ss; medium, £1 18s; small, £1 7s 6d; good Jersey dairy cows, £8 ss; good two-year-old Jersey heifers, backward, £6 7s 6d. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, report as follows on the Te Kuiti sale of 22nd instant: A small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward and sold at ruling rates, quotations being: Light fat wethers, 21s to 23s 3d; heavy fat, 18s; medium ewe hoggets, 20s lOd; good wether hoggets, 16s 6d; good Southdown hoggets, 14s 3d; fairly good Hereford two-year steers, £5 ss; forward cows, £4 10s; yearling Jersey heifers, to £3 17s; fair quality dairy cows, close to profit, £6 17s 6d to £7 17s 6d; plain and backward, £3 7s 6d to £5 12s 6d; medium potter bulls, to £5 12s 6d.
