COMBINED SALE CONCLUDES MIXED BREEDS SOLD TODAY Shorthorns, Friesians and Avrshires were offered at the concluding auctions of the annual bull fair of the Waikato Combined Breeders’ Association today, in the selling pavilion at the Claudelands Showgrounds. Shorthorns met with steady competition at prices ranging from 12 5 to 26 guineas. Friesians, however, met with a rather disappointing sale and some failed to reach vendors’ reserves. Prices for this breed ranged from 9 to 30gns., the latter price being given by Mr IT. G. Mickell, of Tau whare. for one of the consignment from Whewell Bros., of Tamahere Ayrshires over the early sales were in keen request and w.ere selling at prices up to 39gns.
