NEW SOUTH WALES MEASURE FOR UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright* (Received Sept. 21, 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept: 21. Details of increased taxation for unemployment relief and social services were announced in the Legislative Assembly. The new rates operate from October 1 and will bring the total taxation for this financial year for unemployment relief to £8,44 2,000. The amounts payable will be substantially increased for every class of wage-earner. Single persons formerly exempt on wsiges not exceeding £3 a week must'now pay 'the tax if they earn £2 a week or more. In addition to increases in the wages tax the Government proposes to increase income tax, company tax and probate tax.
