“AWFUL FRIGHT”
HITLER ABUSES BRITAIN UNITY OF THE REICH .(United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) , DANZIG, Sept. 19 In his speech at Danzig Herr Hitler said:— “The British behave as though they wanted a humane war, I know only too well that their humanity is nothing more than awful fright in the face of our achievements.” The Fuehrer hinted that the restoration of Greater Germany was now completed. “All parts of the Reich are now united,” he added.
He finish speaking amid cries of “Sieg Heil” (“Hail victory”).
German Claims Contradicted
The German radio claims that Soviet troops now hold the entire frontier between Poland and Rumania. The Paris newspaper Le Matin states, on the other hand, that the Poles are fighting desperately on a 60mile front north of the Dniester River to cover the Rumanian frontiers.
A Moscow communique says that Soviet cavalry and tanks have entered the outskirts of Lwow, which is being besieged by the Germans. The German High Command admits that fighting continues north-west of Lwow. A message from Moscow says the Polish Ambassador to Russia has asked for the passports of the entire Polish diplomatic and consular corps. They are expected to depart on Thursday.
