WILLING TO SACRIFICE
OATABTROPHB OF WAR REAL ESTATE AGENTS’ GESTURE SUGGESTED TARIFF REDUCTION Expressions of willingness to assist the country in every possible way during the war were made by members of the Waikato branch of the Heal Estate Institute of New Zealand at the annual dinner and annual meeting in Hamilton last night. Unanimously the members decided to recommend to the Dominion headquarters that all men serving in the New Zealand military forces who place their property in the iiands of members of the institute for sale should be entitled to *ZS per cent reduction on the usual terms of tariff on sales of all properties. The retiring president, Mr A. Sorby, in liis annual report, said he considered that all members should take their part to assist the country in the catastrophe that had overtaken the Empire. Irrespective of age, the members should do their part and they could show their loyalty to the King and Country by offering their services to the Government of New Zealand.
"I have been thinking a great deal about the war," said the newly-elected president, Mr G. S. Boyes, "and I have a feeling tliat it might be a long struggle. We may be lighting for our very liberty and I am of the opinion that any request that is made for our services ought to be freely responded to, and we should all do our utmost to fulfil it as cheerfully as vve can."
