EXTENBION OF CEMETERY EXTRA FIVE ACRES ACQUIRED (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) WELLINGTON, Wednesday A clause in the local legislation Bill now before Parliament authorises the Huntly Borough Council to acquire certain land for cemetery purposes. The council has an area of approximately six acres in the borough vested in it as a cemetery, and desires to extend this cemetery by the acquisition of five acres of adjoining land. There is no power for a council to extend the boundaries of a cemetery situate l within a borough, and the purpose of the clause is to confer the necessary authority.
