Copyright) SYDNEY, Sept. 19 The New Zealand colt Beau Vlte, a candidate for the Australian Derby on September 30, distinguished himself at Randwick this morning when he ran a mile and 100 yds. in 1.43, the fastest gallop over the distance. Beau Vite badly heat Paddy the Rip, and also shook off Pearl of Asia, who assisted. Olympus, who is training on well, did a sound five furlongs in 1.45. Defaulter trotted and cantered round the middle of the course. A decision regarding his future will be made in a day or two. Royal Chief worked quietly on the tan. lie appears to be suffering no inconvenience from his leg injury. The Epsom Handicap candidate Micawber ran a creditable six furlongs at Victoria Park in 1.195.
