IN PROTECTIVE CUSTODY DISMISSED FROM POSITION DISPUTE WITH GENERALS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, -Sept. 18 The German Jew-baiter Hen* Julius Streicher, is reported by the Daily Express to be in protective custody in a sanatorium at Holicnlyclien, near Berlin, having been dismissed from the position of direct leader of Nurembury and his money taken from him. Herr Streicher is reported to have had a dispute with the generals, who said his bank account was far in excess of his earnings from newspapers and salary. “Why shouldn’t I make something on the side like others?” Herr Streicher is said to have replied. “Look what Goering makes.” Field-Marshal Goering was furious and ordered an investigation into Herr Streicher’s affairs. It is alleged to have revealed that Herr Streicher had appropriated huge sums from Jews lor his own use. Saved From Firing Squad Only Herr Hitler's personal regard saved him from the firing squad, the report states. The death of Ernst Bahls, one of Hitler’s adjutants, has created muen speculation throughout Germany. Beyond the fact that he died suddenly while at the front with Hitler, obituary notices give no explanation or details of his death, and this has caused many rumours in view of his close association with the Fuehrer. A later message from Berlin states that a special Party Court is investigating undisclosed charges against Herr Streicher. UNPROVOKED AGGRESSION CONDEMNED BY MOSLEMS (United Press Assn. —Elec. Te!. Copyright) DELHI, Sept. 18 The Working Committee of the Moslem League has passed a resolution condemning unprovoked aggression; expressing sympathy with France, Britain and Poland; asking the British Government for an assurance that there will he no declaration of constitutional advance for India without the league’s consent; arid urging the complete abandonment of the federation scheme.
