GRANT OBTAINED
RUGBY PARK SCHEME IMPROVEMENTS TO COST £2500 The New Zealand Rugby Union had decided to grant the loan of £2500 to Ihe Waikato Union for improvement to Rugby Park, Hamilton, said Mr S. S. Dean, chairman of the executive of the New Zealand Rugby Union, on Saturday. Mr Doan said the terms of the loan still had to be arranged. The money is to be expended in banking up terraces around the ground with spoil from Garden Place and with improvements to the seating accommodation. The scheme is part of a long-range plan to bring the facilities in Hamilton up to the standard required. Mr Dean said he found that the facilities in Hamilton, the centre of such an important union as Waikato, were not, at present, up to the standard required.
