MAKE=UP
Make-up must be applied with an understanding of the needs of the individual, as the use of the wrong type, instead of accentuating the beauty of the user, will have the reverse effect. Each feature must be considered as a separate unit, as well as a unit in the complete picture. Face, eyes, lips and hair must all receive attention.
Colour plays a large part in the development of personality, and the effect of colour on make-up cannot be too strongly stressed. Rouge should be selected with discretion, the blonde ehoosing the lightest shade obtainable, the brunette a medium shade, the -titian burnt shades.
Rouge should be applied in a “ V ” fading away to the edges by wome.i with round faces; while the thin and narrow' countenance can be made lo look fuller by .applying rouge in full round circles. Hollow cheeks can be disguised by applying a darker rouge at the cheek bones.
