SUNKEN SUBMARINE

25 BODIES RECOVERED CAUSE OF AMERICAN TRAGEDY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel Copyright) NEW YORK, Sept. 16 Twenty-five bodies have been removed from the ill-fated submarine Squalus. All have been identified. One is missing and is believed to have slipped out of the hatch during salvage. A board of inquiry boarded the submarine and witnessed a valve test. One of the valves did not close. This result is similar to what the commander, Lieutenant Naguin, believes caused the tragedy.
