ARMS EMBARGOS BRITISH AND FRENCH LICENSES (fulled Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) WASHINGTON, Sept. 14 The Slate Departments has issued t.he export figures for August, revealing the extent to which Britain and France suffered by the imposition of the arms embargoes. Prance had obtained licenses since January t. totalling 72,363.000.000 dollars, the actual exports amounting to 15.661.000.000 dollars. Britain obi 5.661,000.000 dollars. Britain obtained licenses totalling 14.709.000.000 dollars and the actual exports were 21,157,000,000 dollars, but virtually all Britain’s exports were licensed last year. In August the licenses were:— Prance, 1,152,000,000 dollars; Britain, 321.000 dollars; Canada, 132.000 dollars, and Australia, 190,000 dollars.
