MEN EXAMINED
WORK BY MEDICAL BOARDS SPECIAL VOLUNTEER FORCE Last night 40 officers and N.C.O’s. who enlisted were examined by the medical board in Hamilton. Two boards functioned this morning when a large number of recruits were examined. On Monday a board will function in 1 Te Kuiti ad there will be five boards j working in Hamilton, commencing at 1 8.30 a.m. On Tuesday boards will I operate in Hamilton. Te Awamutu and : Taumarunui. In each case the men will receive notification through the ' post. At present only single men are ! being examined. When the hoards are carrying out j examinations in Hamilton most of the j medical practitioners are assisting, and : the army authorities are asking ; patients to refrain from telephoning the doctors’ rooms unless for urgent | reasons. A grade men numbered 102 and temporarily unlit 101). making the rejections approximately r> per cent. There was a sudden rush of recruits this morning, and the Christchurch total is now 830.
