WEDDING
HAWKINGS—JOHNSTON A charming wedding was celebrated in Knox Presbyterian Church, Morrinsvillc, on August 26, when Margaret Annie Bryce, youngest daughter of Miami MrsM. B. Johnston, Canada Street, Morrinsville, was married to William Edward, eldest son of Mr S. 11. Hawkings, of Canada Street, Morrinsville. The Rev. G. A. Naylor was the officiating minister. Friends of the bride had decorated the church with masses of daffodils, jonquils and asparagus fern. Miss R. Johnston played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a smart spring suit of navy and a navy peachbloom hat. A soft white georgette blouse and navy accessories completed the ensemble. She carried a sheaf of daffodils, narcissi and asparagus fern. The Bridesmaid She was attended by Miss Beatrice Mott, of Onehunga, as bridesmaid, who wore a navy flecked spring suit, a cyclamen-coloured blouse and a navy hat. She carried a sheaf of spring flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Kenneth Pearson, of Morrinsville, as best man. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs Johnston received her guests wearing an ensemble of autumn brown floral faille with a brown hat and she carried a posy of violets and maidenhair fern. Mr and Mrs W. E. Hawkings will make their home in Morrinsville.
