ALL DAIRY PRODUCE DIBPUTEB IN ABEYANCE COUNCIL CONFERS WITH MINISTER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELL T \GTON, Thursday It was desirable that the dairy industry should know that representations had been made to the Government and what action was likely to be taken so that the present uncertainty could be overcome, said the chairman of the Dairy Board. Mr W. E. Hale, to-day. Mr Hale said that last week there had been held in Wellington a meeting of the Dairy Industry Council. The council had met the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. \Y. Nash, and on behalf of the industry had assured him or full co-operation with the Government in all measures designed to assist the Mother Country during the war. it was further suggested that all questions previously in dispute between Ihe Minister and the industry be held in abeyance until after the conclusion of hostilities, and the views of the council were outlined as to the price to be paid to farmers this season and what they considered would be the best method of dealing with the dairy industry under the present changed conditions, so that the industry would render the greatest assistance in increasing food production.
